Perhaps the best one can achieve is to agree that we have creative control over part of our lives, and it’s probably more than we realize. And wishing it was true is not the same as believing it.

Doubts about this claim are harder to ignore because there seems to be so much “proof” that we can’t control everything that happens to us. So my reservations about that particular aspect can be temporarily set aside, allowing me to consider the other information in the book with an open mind.Īnother troublesome assertion, which I think other people will also have a problem accepting, is that each person has absolute creative control of their lives. I have difficulty wholeheartedly embracing the idea of channeling, but I don’t completely reject the possibility either. This book is advertised as the “Teachings of Abraham,” which is the name used by a “family of Non-Physical Beings” who are communicating with us through Esther Hicks. Ask and It Is Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks is no different.

Finally, join Esther, Jerry, Abraham, and hundreds of attendees at a 2010 Art of Allowing workshop in San Francisco, where Abraham explains the powerful Vortex of Creation concept in detail and then answers questions from several guests seeking more clarity.Every spiritual or personal growth book I’ve read contains one or more concepts that I don’t fully agree with.

Also included is a bonus segment from an Abraham-Hicks seminar cruise in which Abraham reveals the secret behind the best-selling video and book The Secret, which was originally based on Abraham's teachings, but from which Abraham was ultimately deleted. Abraham explains the basics of the teachings, and answers a myriad of questions about every facet of living. In this unprecedented sit-down interview, Esther and Jerry Hicks relate their incredible story and introduce the Non-Physical group consciousness Abraham.
